In an area far from the average tourist areas in Berlin I happened to find this water tower. I reminded me of some of the inventory in the computer game Myst – both futuristic and old at the same time. It took me a while to get close enough to it as the area was fenced and all roads had No Trespassing signs. But I felt I had to do it – so…

S7 nach Arensfelde

If you go by S-Bahn S7 in one direction you end up in lovely Potsdam – if you travel in the other direction you end up in Arensfelde – quite a different neighbourhood.

Springtime and love in Berlin

I was photographing the large official building across the river Spree in Berlin as a young Austrian couple suddenly appeared in my picture, performing a lovely act of photo fun with great enthusiasm. If they happen to see this ( I later approached them and gave them my website-address) they can have these pictures forwarded in high resolution.

Their love and fun simply made my day

Eisteinturm is a little very hidden gem in the Southern outskirts of Potsdam – it is still working as an observatory and access is limited to very few guided tours annually, mostly for astronomic freaks and architects.

It is designed by Erich Mendelsohn
