Først i mine...
We spent the first two weeks of October in Southern Italy. On the Amalfi coast on the Serrontin peninsula South of Naples. The floods of tourists are almost over now and the climate is mild and lovely to one from Scandinavia [ngg src="galleries" ids="9"...
BogForum – Danish Book Fair 2017
This is a visual feature from the 2017 Book Fair in Copenhagen. Both debutants and more published authors compete on the attention of the 35,000+ visitors during a dull and dark November weekend.
A dull town out on the edge
Greymouth, on the surface a sleepy town on the West Coast of South Island, New Zealand. But even on a lazy late Saturday afternoon there is a rare beauty to this former gold rush area.

Have I seen you before?
We were walking around in the streets of Paris, it was April and the weather was excellent. We decided to have a late lunch after visiting quite a number of galleries. Next to us was a younger woman seated, reading while waiting for her lunch to be served. She had...
The kiss
A passionate kiss at the cafe Pixie, Bopa plads, Copenhagen. Often when I see a couple like this in love at a cafe, I am immidiately reminded of Peter Turnley and his wonderful book "The french kiss, a love letter to Paris" which I own. This time, in Copenhagen, the...
Oh, those fisher women are so fierce
This is a story I wrote almost ten years ago after visiting a fisher village in the Southern part of Tamil Nadu, India. It was very controversial at that time, still is I believe. How does a well-renowned and good-hearted NGO cope with a strong community that has it’s own ideas about how to share and how to deal with relief aid? The story was edited by many editors and have lost a few of it’s sharp teeth. But the dilemma still stands: what to do with the fierce fisher women that everybody fears?
Walking on a grand piano
Visiting the UN city in Copenhagen is somehow special. By entering the security check you are officially leaving Denmark. Inside you will find the most remarkable stairway - almost like a grand piano... [ngg src="galleries"...
